Power of Attorney
In a Power of Attorney, the person granting the authority to the Power of Attorney is called the principal, and the person receiving the authority is called the agent or the attorney-in-fact. The agent is authorized to act on behalf of the principal, as specified in the legal document. In addition to the principal and the agent providing acceptable identification, the principal must demonstrate willingness and awareness to the notary in granting this authority to the agent, otherwise the notary may refuse to sign and notarize the Power of Attorney
